Sustainable Brands: #TheGreenEngine

Posted on June 8, 2016

I spent yesterday at the Sustainable Brands conference in San Diego. This year’s theme is “Activating Purpose” and the passion for sustainability from some of the world’s largest global brands was invigorating.

UTC hosted its own special guest at the conference this year, the “green engine,” and a rather quiet guest I might add. But don’t let its quiet nature fool you; the Pratt & Whitney geared turbofan engine is cleaner, greener and quieter than anything in its class available on the market today. This is the “green engine” that changes everything.

Check out below for my day at the conference in pictures, and I’d love to see yours too – share them on Twitter with me @johnmandyck.

And that’s a wrap! I had a great time at Sustainable Brands 2016 and enjoyed meeting with sustainability leaders and of course, #TheGreenEngine. For every selfie taken with #TheGreenEngine onsite at the conference, UTC donated $20 to STEM education.
